A viral video has been doing the rounds on social media where two Korean girls are seen being verbally harassed by a few Hindu extremist students who were chanting “Jai Shree Ram” and hooting against them, accusing them of religious conversion.
The incident occurred when two Korean students studying in Delhi travelled to Uttar Pradesh to meet a friend at the Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut.
Soon they were confronted by a group of Hindu supremacist students who claimed that they were Christian missionaries aiming to convert people.
“There is only one god, and that is Ram,” added the Hindu extremist students agitating against the entry of the Korean girls.
Accordingly, when the video of the incident went viral, the Meerut Police intervened and rescued the girls.
Later, the Meerut Police took to Twitter to clarify that the accusations of religious conversion put forward by the right-wing students were false and that no such attempt was made by the Korean girls.
