ॐ हर हर हर महादेव॥
On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, here are some of the Lessons of Mahadev:

People wake up to the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri – a festival marking the convergence of Shiva and Shakti & cosmic instances related to Lord Shiva.
Devotees of Lord Shiva have thronged temples to worship Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati, chant mantras and prayers, prepare bhogs, observe fasts and wish for Lord Shiva’s blessings.
According to Hindu belief, Lord Shiva married Maa Shakti, his divine consort, for a second time on this night. It is in celebration of their divine union that the day is celebrated as ‘Maha Shivratri’.
Another discourse says that during the creation of the universe, Lord Shiva was reincarnated as Lord Rudra during the midnight of Maha Shivaratri with the help of Lord Brahma.
