Paradyes founder Yushika Jolly shares her experience on LinkedIn after Shark Tank’s episode featuring her aired on television.
She speaks about how she has been subjected to hate messages and comments saying, “rude,” “smug,” “manipulative,” “greedy,”, “bitch” and “unprofessional.”
The 26-year-old entrepreneur from Ahmedabad featured in Shark Tank India season 2, where she closes a deal of ₹65-lakh for 1 per cent equity with Sugar Cosmetics’ Vineeta Singh and boAt’s Aman Gupta.
“I draw attention to the gender prejudice. I’m starting to believe that we, as a country, despise women for being assertive and having opinions,” Jolly writes in her LinkedIn post.
In reply to the greedy DM, Jolly further writes, “We could have chosen Peyush if we were truly that ‘greedy’… And for everyone asking why to create a mess for 1%, please go and build your own business and only then will you realise how important even 1% is.”
The second season of Shark Tank aired earlier this month showcasing multiple startups seeking investment from established businessmen.
