On Saturday, a young Swiggy delivery boy in Hyderabad, Mohammed Rizwan, succumbed to his injuries after jumping off from the third floor of a building.
The delivery boy who was delivering the parcel was chased by the pet dog of the customer following which he jumped off the third floor sustaining severe injuries.
“He went to Lumbini Rock Castle Apartments in Banjara Hills to deliver food to K Shobhanaz. When he knocked at the door of the flat, the customer’s pet dog, a German Shepherd, barked at him and lunged at the door”, police confirmed.
Following the same, Rizwan was rushed to Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences where he was immediately admitted following his serious injuries.
Banjara Hills police inspector M. Narender said, “The Swiggy delivery boy Mohammed Rizwan succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at around 6.30 pm on Saturday. The case has been altered to section 304(A) IPC and further investigation is underway.”
