Guwahati’s Air Quality has been a concern lately. Earlier today, Guwahati has been reported as the second most polluted city in India, overtaking Delhi, Baddi and Greater Noida.
The Air Quality Index of Guwahati earlier today was 350 – ‘Very Poor’ status. The AQI of the most polluted city – Bettiah, a city in Champaran, Bihar – was 390 – ‘Very Poor’ status.
Below Guwahati, was Faridabad with 302 AQI; Delhi with 299 AQI; Baddi with 288 AQI and Greater Noida with 283 AQI.
Reportedly, the current PM2.5 concentration in Guwahati is 11.8 times above the recommended limit given by the WHO 24 hrs air quality guidelines value.
