⚡️EXPLAINED: Hinduism or the Sanatan Dharma is often misinterpreted to have 33 crore Gods and Goddesses, but in reality, it is 33 types of Supreme Gods & Goddesses.
The word ‘Koti’ in Sanskrit means crores and also it means ‘type’.
However, in this term, ‘33 koti’ means 33 types and not 33 crores. There are 33 types of ‘Devatas’ with unique qualities and powers.
This is mentioned in the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad and other Scriptures like Atharva Ved, Rig Ved & more.
These 33 types of ‘Devatas’ are,
👉🏽 12-Adityas
👉🏽 11-Rudras
👉🏽 08-Vasus
👉🏽 One Indra
👉🏽 One Prajapati
Each of these types has its significance, which we explain here.
