Guwahati City Police Commission Diganta Barah shocked with a comment that questions the vigilance of police in the city, amid a rising number of crimes.
As Assam buckles up to celebrate Magh Bihu, there is also a threat of crimes – Robbery cases particularly.
As such, City CP Diganta Barah asked the public not to leave their homes empty if they are going to their villages to celebrate Bihu.
“Leave someone at home to look after if you’re planning to leave the city and go to your village to celebrate Bihu,” Diganta Barah said.
“Guwahati Police have few cops,” Barah also said.
