China is set to witness its biggest and in fact, the world’s largest annual migration programme – known as ‘Chunyun’ – this amid the worst wave of COVID-19.
This started from January 07 and will continue till February 15.
Reportedly, China lifted its ‘Zero COVID-19 Policy’ for this 40 days Lunar New Year programme in China.
China admits its COVID-19 numbers. Its hospitalisation peaked at 1.6-million on January 05, including 128,000 severe cases.
60,000 COVID-19 related since early December have been reported in China.
For Chunyun, now that China has opened borders and relaxed quarantine restrictions for travellers from abroad, billions are expected to take trips over the next five weeks. (Reports)
